Viracocha's first screenshots

Viracocha is a free (as in free speech) 3d action/rpg game based on Gnoll.
This game has a great  and original story focused on a young sicario (ie. a professional hitman) in Peru of both today and XVI century.

These are very early screenshots of Cusco's Plaza de Armas. As you can see, they are trying to stay very close to reality. I must admit I am quite impressed by their modelisation skills.

I am really looking forward the completion of their first demo!

If you need more information don't hesitate to take a look at their website (french only): http://projetviracocha.free.fr/

Note: Gnoll was originally part of Viracocha before they got split in two separate projects.

Note 2: Thanks WT for the screenshots.

Gnoll 0.1.6rc1 is out!

This is the first and probably the last release candidate before the final 0.1.6.

We will focus on fixing bugs, stabilzing Gnoll and testing integration with games projects such as Arcancia and Viracocha.

 The objectives are:

  1. Making packages for Ubuntu
  2. Making packages for Windows
  3. Working on Arcancia integration with Gnoll
  4. Working in Viracocha integration with Gnoll
  5. Stabilizing and wrapping up ou camera module

Working on integrating Gnoll with games will give us some real use cases, and also help us finding and fixing some remaining bugs.

WhiteTiger will probably work on item 4., Gabriel offered himself to work on 1. and 5. and I will work on 3.

Kremtak has also accepted to work on 2.

New fedora repository available

Here are some not so fresh but still great news :

I have been working actively on packaging Gnoll and as a result I am proud to announce the creation of some repositories for the Fedora GNU/Linux distribution.

 The main page is: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=gnoll&project=home%3ASanguinez

Fedora 8 users:

Just download http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sanguinez/Fedora_8/home:Sanguinez.repo to /etc/yum.d/ and look for a package named gnoll-example. It will pull out all necessary dependancies.

Fedora 9 users:

Just download http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sanguinez/Fedora_9/home:Sanguinez.repo to /etc/yum.d/ and look for a package named gnoll-example. It will pull out all necessary dependancies.

Right now I am working on some Ubuntu/Debian packages and also integrating assets from the game Arcancia.
